Dave, I have been meaning to tell you for so long how much I appreciate your work on the Kalendar and on the ship lists. My Banaters went to Elizabeth, NJ. I discovered from your ship list that my great- grandfather's youngest brother came here to visit him once -I never knew that. From the Kalendar I learned that my grandmother and her sister were actually from Kleinsanktpeter, not Kistelep, which was on the ship manifest. This knowledge came in handy when the Kleinsanktpeter FB became available. I now know details about my mother's family that I probably would never have found out, except for your work on the Kalendar. It was also fun to see my grandparents' friends in the Kalendar, where they lived and where they had come from. I can never thank you enough for doing all that work and sharing the results the way you did. God bless you.
Grateful forever,
Mary Regan

wow! Did I write all that? It now reminds us how skimpy the Banat resources were that we had at that time.
A few of us were still tying to develop working relationships with Banat researchers in Germany where the real action was.

I’d be willing to help too. My Lovrin great grandfather settled with his wife from Zwittau/Svitavy in Brooklyn, NYC.
