This makes the search for Katharina even more interesting. I will not blame on the priest Tibor, I guess the entry in the petition might show a theoretical date as it happens quite usual (especially with females) entering the US (or other contries) at that time. There might be one more hint to clarify on this Katharina. The census sheet 1930, Philadelphia shows that Katharina entered the US in 1912. Anna Müller, wife of Nikolaus entered on AUG 5, 1905 with her two children by ship Cassel from Bremen. There is also a 1920 census on an Anna Noel in Phila which show her in the right age, as lodger and working as private housekeeper. As long as one could not identify the maiden name of Katharina and/or find relevant marriage docs it would be hard to clarify do we talk about the same Nikolaus or not.
